Lidl first introduced their special coupon last year, before bringing it back earlier this month. It has now been extended for shoppers until February 28.
A Lidl spokesperson added: “We are always looking at ways to drive innovation for our customers, and Lidl Plus is another way of doing this whilst continuing to offer the highest quality products at the lowest prices.”
Today, the app still offers multiple weekly coupons and discounts for those who sign up.
Four new coupons are released every Thursday, as well as other exclusive discounts and scratchcards.
This week, three coupons can be used for 15 percent off selected cereals, coffee, and vegan burgers.
The fourth offers customers 20 percent off selected biscuits, including fruit shortcakes, mini cookies, and caramel wafer bars.
After using their £5 off welcome coupon to buy any produce except for alcohol, customers can continue to receive other coupons depending on how much they spend.
Coupons are unlocked on the app when shoppers reach specific spending targets.
The Lidl website says: “Get a £10 off coupon when you spend £200 a month.”
Another of the app’s features is that it allows shoppers to keep all their digital receipts in one place, as well as browse weekly leaflets and seasonal magazines.
Lidl’s app rivals other UK supermarkets who have had loyalty schemes for years, such as Tesco’s Clubcard, which can also be downloaded on your phone as an app.
Lidl Plus is available on Android and iPhone and can be used by customers in England, Wales and Scotland.
After registering your details and choosing your local Lidl store, you will be able to use the £5 off coupon immediately.
