The wife of Prince Edward, the Queen’s youngest son, has been volunteering at a London kitchen. She has been doing so once a week, “privately, without any fanfare,” according to the Daily Mail.
British financier Ian Wace arranged the volunteering.
The team there have been making 59,000 meals a week for hospital staff in London.
One person working on the team with Sophie said of the Countess: “Sophie’s done a fabulous job. She’s got stuck into everything, cooking, prep work and cleaning. She’s done it privately, without any fanfare, and the staff think she’s incredible.
“The team here are giving everything and it’s been a real boost to morale.”
Another wrote: “Sophie deserves a round of applause for not letting #Covid_19 stop her from volunteering.”
“Sophie really is incredible! Her work and selflessness go overlooked so often but she is an amazing asset to the Royal Family,” another said.
One wrote: “Not for herself…no fanfare, no private photographer, no entourage, just lovely Sophie doing what her heart tells her…bravo to the Countess of Wessex..”
Another wrote: “What a Wonder Women. The countess of Wessex, Sophie has been an absolute star.”
Another royal expert claimed “Britain is falling in love” with ‘natural element’ of Kate Middleton amid coronavirus.
Aubrey Hanson wrote for US website CCN: “We rarely know what someone is genuinely capable of until adversity strikes.
“During the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting lockdown, we’ve seen Kate Middleton step to the fore like never before.”
The expert went on: “She’s always been fantastic, but the way she’s rallied during Britain’s time of need has been something else.
“The natural, human element of Kate Middleton has been there for all to see.”
