Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans have finished out a year of exciting in-game events. Here’s every holiday scheduled for 2021’s calendar.
The year is coming to a close in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and new seasonal holidays for the game seem to be running out. New Horizons released in March 2020, just in time for spring festivities, and, in just a few short months, the popular simulation game will reach its one-year anniversary. With 2021 almost here, fans may wonder what is in store for Animal Crossing: New Horizons this upcoming year, and what events old and new might show up on the game’s calendar.
There are certain seasonal events that will likely come back for fans to enjoy. Animal Crossing’s Cherry Petal Event will circle back around in April, as well Bunny Day, Nature Day and other big holidays. Events like the Fishing Tourney happen multiple times per year, and seasonal fish and bugs will continue to rotate out as players finish the winter months and move back into spring. However, for fans who have already spent a year participating in the available events, rehashing these might start to feel repetitive.

New Horizons fans are in luck, however, as there is a new event in February for those who aren’t yet ready to start the event calendar over. Valentine’s Day will likely bring with it new furniture, clothing and activities to enjoy. March will also hold a new event, as a crossover for Animal Crossing and Super Mario was teased earlier this fall. While other new events might be incoming, as well, currently there isn’t any confirmation on when and what they could be. With some time left before spring, there is still an opportunity for new surprises from the game’s developers.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Will Start Its Event Calendar Over In 2021
Adding new holidays to the New Horizons calendar would be exciting for fans who have dedicatedly played the game since its release, and it would help to prevent the game from getting boring. Another thing fans might see, too, is a wave of new items and furniture added to old events – and possibly even new creatures to catch each season – when they come back around in 2021. These items could be available in addition to collectibles from past Animal Crossing events. Though there is no guarantee something like this will happen, it would make participating in events a second time more fun for those who already collected everything available to them.
For fans who picked up a copy of Animal Crossing later in the year, the return of past events will be the perfect time to get seasonal items they missed out on. These newer Animal Crossing players will get to experience the excitement that has helped keep the game so popular among fans throughout all of 2020. They will be able to fill out the needed items and recipes in their collections, as well as anything new Animal Crossing: New Horizons might have in store in 2021.
